The Sodus Point Lighthouse on the south shore of Lake Ontario is an icon in the area. Continuous sub-zero temperatures, combined with relentless winds contributed to the massive buildup of ice and snow extending the faux shoreline hundreds of feet out from land. On this day the temperatures were well below zero. With the high winds, exposure to the conditions made it almost unbearable, but visually it was beautiful to witness.

Seeking blessings and emotional rewards greater than the financial rewards of his mechanical engineering career, Everet made the decision to resign from his full-time job in October 2013 to pursue art as a freelance fine art photographer. A huge leap of faith in the financial sense, yet Everet has never second guessed his decision. His work has been internationally published and sells all across the world.
