The Great Gray Owl is North Americas biggest owl. Standing 24-30" tall, with a wingspan of 5 feet, this huge owl still only weighs 2-2.8 lbs. In combination with their keen sight, they use their ultra sensitive hearing to hunt and can hear a vole under 18" of snow, from 300 feet away.
