Artist's Description
The 2023 Worm Moon provided a beautiful scene in combination with the iconic West Pierhead Lighthouse on Lake Ontario, from Oswego, NY. The moon was setting, just as the sun was rising, creating a soft, hazy, pastel gradient as a backdrop for the lighthouse. I've captured that rare moment here.
Nowhere else can you find photographs of this scene, as I was the one and only photographer at this location, at this time. It was bitter cold, with high winds, making a very uncomfortable and difficult environment for the photographer. The scene would have a great wall hanging or custom greeting card for anyone who loves lighthouses or a really special gift for those who have lived in Oswego, NY. Great for businesses, too! Consider this image on metal or canvas. Each media will create a very different feel and mood.
